Welcome to the ESS Summer Reading Challenge!
Students from all grades are encouraged to participate in this fun reading challenge to encourage reading and enjoyment of books throughout the summer months. There will be a separate draw for primary and intermediate students, great prizes to be won like gift cards for Kidsbooks! The ESS Summer Reading Challenge will begin June 15th and end September 15th. No need to sign up or register just start reading, fill in the reading logs, and bring the signed reading logs and tally sheet to the library before September 17th.

Primary Students (K-3)
Primary students are required to read a minimum of 30 books (fiction or non fiction books)
Students will receive 1 entry form for every 10 books read and an extra 2 entry forms if they reach the reading challenge of 30 books.
Students will receive 2 additional entry forms if they complete one of the Bingo/Reado challenges (see below)
Parents must sign the reading log (see below) and tally sheet in order for students to receive their entry forms.
*Students will receive 2 additional entry forms for every French book read.
Intermediate Students (gr. 4-7)
Intermediate students are required to read 10 books (fiction or non fiction books with more than 60 pages)
Students will receive 1 entry form for every book read and an extra 2 entry forms if they reach the reading challenge of 10 books.
Students will receive 2 additional entry forms if they complete one of the Bingo/Reado challenges (see below)
Parents must sign the reading log and tally sheet (see below) in order for students to receive their entry forms.

Reading Logs
Student are required to complete all boxes in the reading log and parents are asked to sign each entry. Select a reading log below or use your own if you prefer!

Tally Sheet
When students have completed the summer reading challenge they are required to complete the tally sheet. Once the tally sheet has been completed and signed by both the student and parent, both the reading logs and tally sheet must be handed in to Mme Desnica before September 20th to be eligible to enter the draw.
